Sie ist um 1650 durch eine Kreuzung aus der <a title=\"Amerikanische Platane\" href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amerikanische_Platane\">Amerikanischen Platane<\/a> (<i>P. occidentalis<\/i>) und <a title=\"Morgenl\u00e4ndische Platane\" href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Morgenl%C3%A4ndische_Platane\">Morgenl\u00e4ndischen Platane<\/a> (<i>P. orientalis<\/i>) entstanden.
